This month's  meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 1st. The meeting will feature Lindsay Robinson, DVM. She will present on "When Sweet Turns Sour: Managing DKA From Triage to Discharge." September's meeting is sponsored by Hill's Pet Nutrition.

Bio: Lindsay Robinson, DVM

Dr. Lindsay Robinson was born and raised in DFW. She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age and was blessed to be able to attend undergraduate and veterinary school at Texas A&M University in College Station. She graduated in 2008 with a DVM degree. Her initial focus was on small and exotic animal medicine, and she worked for 6 years for a general practice in Mansfield where she was able to take care of a variety of animals from dogs and cats to birds, snakes, rats, and more. She then went on to work at a combined general practice and emergency medicine hospital. It was there that she discovered her passion for emergency medicine, and after 7 years made the leap to full time emergency work. She is currently employed part time at Fort Worth Animal Emergency Hospital where she had been for almost 4 years. She has also been added to the Veterinary Specialists of North Texas team and is excited to continue her veterinary medicine journey here, bringing her emergency medicine background to seeing urgent internal medicine patients.

Dr. Robinson luckily gets to spend the rest of her days with her husband and two children and small bevy of animals. She loves singing and going to the theater. In her professional life, she is passionate about client education and explaining the whys and hows of medicine so that the pet owners can provide the best care for their animal family members at home.
